100 travel destinations to visit before you die
Do you have a list of travel destinations to visit before you die? In my case, I do love to travel, but I tended to research places only once I’d made up my mind to go. After I started a blog and began writing travel content, though, a list started to take shape. For example, I came to want to visit Iceland for the grandeur and wonder of its nature, Türkiye for its beautiful temples, Thailand for its colorful food and cheap lodging, and the Philippines for its whale sharks — all at least once before I die.
Then I suddenly got curious about the more widely known travel destinations that travel agencies themselves recommend visiting before you die. The destinations below include places I know and places I don’t, so I couldn’t add a comment on each one. Please keep that in mind as you enjoy the piece. They’re classified by continent, and within each, listed in Korean alphabetical order (가나다).

So far we’ve gone through 100 travel destinations to visit before you die. How many of these do you know, and how many have you been to? I was surprised to find I’d been to fewer than I’d thought. I’d prided myself on loving travel, but it seems I haven’t actually gotten around all that much. Flip it the other way, though, and it means there are still more than enough places left to go — so I think that works in my favor. While researching this, I was also a little surprised that Japan didn’t come up much, and that there was less of Europe than I’d expected. This, I figure, is exactly the difference between Westerners’ perspective and my own.
